can you infect another part of your body...
and if so
how predictable is that to happen? The herpes virus cannot newly 'erupt anywhere'. You have it surrounded by a particular piece of your body, for example the mouth, and outbreaks will always go on in that region.
You can spread it to other parts of the body, but it isn't that predictable, because once you have the virus your body develops antibodies to fracas off the virus, which prevents you from catching it contained by another place. However, sometimes it does happen - perchance some people's immune systems are not as good.
The most adjectives place to spread it to is actually the eyes - optical herpes, which is very bad. So never rub your eyes after touching a cold sore. I haven't heard of anyone who spread it to their own genitals, but I suppse it is statistically possible.
If you are going to spread the virus, it is most expected in the first few months after you lock in cold sores for the first time, if you have be getting them a long while, it is much less possible to happen.
You in actual fact are carrying the herpes virus which could erupt anywhere
