If you hold a partial paroxysm, is it possible that you can die?

Depends on what you are doing at the time. If when driving, yes, you could die when you hit that truck. If in a pool, you might drown. If using insecure equipment, you could hurt yourself. That is why you were probably told not to drive until the seizure are controlled, and not to do anything common sense tell you could be dangerous if you have a spell right then.
If you hold partial seizures and are not controlled near medication, talk to your Neurologist. There are closely of good medicine now.
If you own seizures and own never been "worked up" for them, you should find a referral to a Neurologist.
Serious causes are not adjectives, but everyone will feel better if they hold made sure nothing unusual is cause the seizures.
