If your pancreas explodes will you die?

First, no organ in your body have the ability to explode. But if your pancreas is inflamed and swollen and you own pancreatitis and it is left untreated, yes you can die. The pancreas is one of the essential organs that you cannot live without.
The treatment for pancreatitis is no food. A complete juice diet.
The pancreas produces the chemicals necessary to digest food. Sometimes, it tries to digest itself or produce to much of the chemical needed to digest food which cause problems. It also controls insulin for the body. It also tells the gallbladder when to release bile after it senses food have been ingested.
If the pancreas stops working it cause, flu like symptoms and great spasm. The theory for a fluid diet is that if no food is passing through digestive tract next the pancreas won't react and produce the chemical needed to digest food and thus put a ceiling on the inflamation.
