Its just I am 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant and tonight my ankles are really swollen, I be wearing socks today which werent tight at all they be actually my partner and my ankles have gone alot bigger later usual, is this due to high blood pressure? Not necessarily. It is do to retaining fluid. Your toddler may actually be pushing on your lymph nodes accordingly causing some swelling contained by your lower extremities. Put your feet up and relax that infant will be here in no time. FYI- your babe could have dropped further into position for confinement! You may notice some swelling contained by your bottom too.
