If it is said that population no longer grow after bone plates fuse, why do population near acromelagy still grow?

I'm wondering if we are all looking at the wrong point of prospect on human bone growth as people near acromelagy can still keep on growing even after they are course past their puberty and growing age. If it is said that bone plates will fuse after their growing age thus stopping largeness growth, how come people near acromelagy can still continue growing?
In overnight case you dont know, acromelagy is a syndrome of overly active pituitary gland surrounded by the brain usually caused by tumours contained by that area which cause it to keep on producing growth hormones. So is the concept of plane growth false in this concern? Science sure has plentifully of explaining to us... this is due to hormonal imbalance- overproduction of growth hormone
