If someone have the 24 hr. stomach flu, would it be prudent to bring dramamine to stop the vomiting?

I don't have the 24 hr. flu and I don't know anyone who does right immediately. This is a question of curiousity.
If someone come into urgent care complaining of a stomach flu, would at hand be anything the DR could prescribe to stop the vomiting or suggest dramamine?
I don't want any medical advice or anything. Again, this is out of mere curiousity. Interesting sound out
Dramamine would not be the first, or second, or third choice.
It would not hurt - - but probably would not help much.
' Consider that a forgiving who is vomiting is unlikely to benefit from an oral medication. In an urgent care setting, we would use a parenteral medication such as IM Phenergan or possibly a suppository (if diarrhea is not also problematic).
I conjecture it's an old wives' tail that a being should be allowed to vomit with an intestinal viral infection. If someone took the trouble to come surrounded by to urgent care, I would offer something by shot or suppository to make them more comfortable.
The biggest clinical question is whether someone is feeling thirst enough to requirement IV fluids until the vomiting subsides. This is not necessary for most cases of the "24 hour bug."
No, it can save the bug in and the bug desires to come out. You should never take Imodium beside a diarrhea bug either. Gatorade and toast, rice, apples and banana's are the best remedy. Good luck.
