If it is a pseudoaneurysm, usually caused by a cardiac catheterization, it may have need of to be surgically repaired. This is essentially a large mass that forms from blood leak out of the punctured artery. Sometimes, they resolve on their own, unless it becomes unbelievably large and doesn't clot rotten on it's own. If it is a DVT in a capillary in the groin, explicitly usually treated with IV Heparin, an no surgery is required.
probably no surgery. usually anticoagulants close to coumadin / warfarin thin the blood & the blood clot disolves.
